Newest of 6….

Newest Tattoo on my back!

Newbie tattoo on my back…It’s not that big, I swear!

Like most people in my generation, I am in love with Tattoos! Have ‘em, Love ‘em, want more!  As I say this I have the newest one, of six, covered with A&D ointment and saran wrap, on my back between my shoulder blades! A cute Celtic cross which almost perfectly matches hubbies (slight differences in color as a tribute to each other). LOVE IT!

But I was not the only one getting it done this past Wednesday afternoon! 2 Other people were there and they seemed to have some tattooing miles on their arms alone! But they looked great (the tattoos, not the people attached). My sisters stopped by to see the tattooing take place and they both started itching for another (they have 7, 8 or 9 between the 2 of them) and I was egging them on! Neither fell to my button pushing but I know that they will be back shortly to get another themselves….

First thing I did on Thursday morning was to show off my tattoo….to who of course by my dear friend who shall remain nameless because her first words were O.U.C.H!!!!!    Did you get that on your back?  You know that I feel a certain amount of obligation to remind you that at some point you are going to be 80 :-0!  You know about me and tattoos…ouch, ouch, ouch!”

And of course that was the response I was looking for because it makes her squeamish :-)  And my other tattoo loving friend, Barbara was so excited when I showed her! Tattoos are fun and pretty and I do remind myself that I will be 80 one day (I won’t be seeing anything by then).

So the first thing I did today was to show another dear friend, Mary, who like the first un-named friend does not have a huge threshold for pain (5 kids, come on!!). She told me how beautiful it was and told me she liked it! She just couldn’t handle the pain! Mary asked me if they numbed the location of the tattoo for you! She gave me a good laugh this morning!

Aside from the grotesqueness of the shop owner and the other tattoo artist (very vulgar), the trip was well worth it in the end! Well with that being said….until next time!  I love Tattoos!!
